1. in awe

awe的意思是敬畏；驚奇，驚嘆，常見表達(dá)有 in awe/in awe of：

I've always held musicians in awe.

我對(duì)音樂家們總是肅然起敬。

As children we were rather in awe of our grandfather.

小的時(shí)候，我們對(duì)祖父非常敬畏。

2. tune up

它的本意是(給樂器)定標(biāo)準(zhǔn)音，tune-up是名詞形式，表示把（發(fā)動(dòng)機(jī)）調(diào)試到最佳運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)狀態(tài)：

The engine needs a tune-up, and can you test the brakes too, please?

發(fā)動(dòng)機(jī)需要調(diào)試一下，還有請(qǐng)?jiān)贉y試一下剎車好嗎？

tune-up也有“為…做好準(zhǔn)備“的意思：
